Marriage Equality Comes to California Next Week
Beginning next week, California will truly become a state of equality as committed loving couples previously denied the joys, rights, and responsibilities of marriage go to county clerks' offices to apply for marriage licenses. November Ballot Initiative Could Revive Unequal Treatment
Opponents of marriage equality are waging a divisive campaign to write discrimination into the California constitution. On November 4, Californians will vote on a proposed constitutional amendment to define marriage as the exclusive union of one man and one woman.

HRC is a proud executive committee member of the Equality for All coalition, a large and diverse coalition of civil rights, faith, choice, labor and communities of color organizations working to defeat the ballot measure.
